Assam an ancient India and the land of Natural Beauty

As we know ancient India is the Ramayana and Mahabharata’s era, and the sacred places spread out from Kashmir, Haryana, Punjab, UP & Bihar. Many people do not know a part of ancient India, which is located in the north-east part of India, in the bank of River Brahmaputra.
Pragjyotishpur- The capital of notorious demon Narakasura Kingdom is situated in Assam and presently name Guwahati. Guwahati – The present capital city of Assam situated in the bank of great holy river Brahmaputra.  River Brahmaputra originated from Manas-sarovar and visited through Tibet, China and Himalayan glacier and finally enters in Assam and irrigated Brahmaputra valley of Assam. Finally the great river Brahmaputra meets bay of Bengal in Bangladesh.
The Shakti Peeth Maa Kamakhya is located at neelachal hills in Guwahati. Maa kāmākhyā temple is one of the holiest Shakti Peeth out of 51 Shakti Peeth. Apart from natural beauty of Assam there is many more attraction. Assam the Brahmaputra valley is famous for its flora and fauna of different kinds, different from rest of India.
The Major attractions for Assam are:
 Maa Kamakhya Temple, Maa Bhubaneswari Temple, Umananda Temple(Middle of River Brahmaputra), Ugratara Temple, Shukleswar Ghat (An Ancient Toal –Vedic Education Ashram), Assam State Museum (Famous for INA-Japan war ammunition against British Emperor and ancient sculpture of Narakasura Era), Dighali Pukhuri (A pond presented to Duryodhana as dowry from his father in law, King Bhagadatta),  Rishi Vashistha Ashram, Aswaklanta, Dol-govinda temple, Hajo (Hayagriv Madhav and Poya mecca) are nearby location of Guwahati.
Tezpur – Old name sonitpur is another ancient city of Assam. Tezpur was the kingdom of great Demon King Banasura. Banasura was a great follower of lord Shiva.  This is the land of great mythological love story of Usha (Banasuras Daughter) and Aniruddha (Grandson of Lord Krishna). Land of one horn Rhino, Kaziranga is 50km away from Tezpur city.
The major Attraction of Tezpur – Agnigarh, Chitralekha Udyan, Da-Parbatiya,  Mahabhairav  Temple, Bhairavi Temple, Kalia Bhomora Setu (3015 mtr Long bridge on rive Brahmaputra), Bamuni Hills, Anguri Hills, Distric Musium, Nameri National Park, Bura- chapori wild life century.
Shivsagar one of the oldest city in Assam. Shivsagar was the capital of Assam in Ahom dynasty. Ahom dynasty rules Assam a very long  period, up to British era. The major attraction of Shivsagar – Shiva dol, Devi Dol, Vishnu Dol, Rang Ghar, Talatal Ghar, Charaideo, Ahom Museum, Gargaon Place or Kareng  ghar, Jaysagar Tank, Gaurisagar Tank, Shivsagar Pond. Nearby Place to Visit –Kaziranga national Park, Majuli (Biggest River Island), Jorhat and  Dibrugarh.
Assam is naturally very rich. Assam tea is world famous. Unless and until personal visit nobody can feel the beauty of Assam.
